St. Joseph's Behavioral Health Center is a licensed, not-for-profit facility, providing comprehensive behavioral health services for psychiatric and chemical dependency disorders. We offer a 35-bed inpatient hospital, day treatment, and outpatient services. The Supervisor of Security supervises safety and security personnel on assigned shifts in carrying out planned activities of the security program as well as any authorized duties relating to emergency management functions. Responsibilities include:
Maintain a comprehensive inspection, test, and maintenance program for all security physical and electronic measures. Follow up on pending security issues.
Implements requirements of the Security Management Plan. Manages and coordinates responses to critical incidents. Monitors and documents actual and potential security breaches.
Monitors existing security systems and technologies for possible security leaks or fraud.
Conducts ongoing security orientation and training of assigned staff and may serve as Field Training Officer.

Minimum of one (1) year experience as a security officer involving extensive public contact.
High school diploma or equivalent or three (3) years’ experience as a security officer.
Current driver’s license issued by the state wherein the position is posted with satisfactory DMV report on file or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire; (2) current state issued security officer license, showing no disciplinary actions; (3) workplace violence training annually
Knowledge of Life Safety, TJC CMS and OSHA regulations and standards. Workplace violence training within six (6) months of employment. Completion of NIMS compliant ICS 100HC, 200HC, & 700 courses or state equivalent. American Heart Association CPR/BLS Certification within 90 days of employment. International Association of Healthcare Security Services (IAHSS) Basic course within 90 days of employment and IAHSS Supervisor course within six months of employment.
