Fleet Driver – Class B

Transamerican Auto Parts is a multi-national, multi-channel distributor (retail, Wholesale, e-commerce and catalog) of aftermarket automotive parts as well as a manufacturer of several branded product lines. We are looking for an EXPERIENCED Class B Fleet Driver to join our team!

The Class B Fleet Driver will be responsible for operating company vehicles making deliveries and pickups according to the scheduled route and instructions given by the Driver Supervisor (DS). The Class B Fleet Driver will also be responsible for inspecting the equipment; operating it in compliance with the Safety rules, local and federal laws, DOT rules and regulations and company policies and procedures.

Brief but detailed jobdescription:

  • Will need good knowledge ofPickup & Delivery Operations

  • Will have local knowledgeof the area with 100 miles

  • Will be provided a truckW/lift gate, fuel card, 2 wheel dolly, pallet jack, and straps

  • Needs to be able to handlebulky/heavy parts using lift gate, 2 wheel dolly, and pallet jack

  • Will make between 8 to 12delivery stops daily

  • Will need to handle CODpayments, and return it at the end of the shift to Store of DC Manager

  • Driver will need to matchparts to paperwork when making delivery, and collect customer signature ondelivery document then return it to the Store or DC Manager

  • Understand the importanceof communicating problems, missing parts and missed deliveries throughout thework day with the Driver Supervisor

Reports Directly To

  • Fleet Manager (compliance issues)

  • Driver Supervisor (dispatch issues and schedule)


  • Performs others duties instructed by your supervisor;

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have a Class B (Straight Truck 26K+) driver license;

  • Must have a Current Medical Card (must be physically fit to drive);

  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations pertaining to driving a commercial truck and with all Transamerican Auto Parts, LLC company policies;

  • Must have general knowledge of trucks and trailers;

  • Ability to load or unload by hand a maximum of 100lbs;

  • Ability to load or unload by pallet jack a maximum of 2,000lbs (may be reduced subject to circumstantial conditions);

  • Ability to follow directions and established procedures;
